Drone Scare At Newark Airport

(Newark, NJ) -- Operations at Newark Liberty Airport are back to normal following a drone scare.

Flights were grounded for 90 minutes last evening after two drones were spotted flying at 36-hundred feet, violating federal law that sets the drone ceiling at 400 feet. One commercial pilot said a drone came within 30-feet of hitting his plane. Drones are also supposed to stay five miles away from airports.

Authorities are looking for the drone pilot, or pilots, who could face criminal charges, including 25-thousand-dollar fines.
