(Menlo Park, CA) -- Facebook is getting a thumbs down today.
The company issued a statement saying it's aware that some people are having trouble accessing Facebook and Instagram. Officials didn't say exactly what the issue is but that they're working to solve the problem. Facebook owns Instagram and WhatsApp which is also experiencing issues.
The outage quickly started trending on Twitter with many expressing frustrations over the loss of the social media sites. Today's problem comes just more than a week since "routine tests" took the social media giant offline for a brief time.
