(New York, NY) -- It appears not even Tim Tebow will be able to save the Mets' season.
Tebow will have hand surgery after breaking his right hamate bone while swinging a bat last week and is likely done for the season. The former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner had been playing well lately for Double-A Binghamton and had been considered a candidate for a September call-up for the injury-plagued Mets.
