(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- Federal Primary elections will take place next Tuesday in New York for Congressional seats.
The spotlight will be on the 19th district where seven candidates are vying for the Democratic line and the winner will challenge Republican Congressman John Faso in the fall. Jeff Beals, Dave Clegg, Antonio DelGado, Brian Flynn, Gareth Rhodes, Erin Collier, and Pat Ryan are running. The district includes parts of Dutchess and Ulster counties and several other counties.
The New York governor's race and other state primaries are taking place in September.
