(Newburgh, NY) -- Officials in Newburgh say the Washington Lake Reservoir will soon be used again as the source for the city's water supply.
They say a new water filtration system is almost finished. Newburgh had to switch to the Catskills Aqueduct for water after toxic chemicals were found in the reservoir nearly two years ago. The state says once the new filtration system is completed, they'll run tests to make sure the water is safe for consumption.
