(Albany, NY)-- The New York State Thruway Authority is revealing more details about its amnesty program.
"The Journal News" reports Thruway Chief Matthew Driscoll said that the program is a chance to wipe the slate clean and collect more than five-million-dollars in outstanding tickets. The program, which will take place the first three weeks of February, will allow drivers to pay any outstanding violations, minus fees, they received since cashless tolling went into effect on the Tappan Zee Bridge in April of 2016. Many drivers have complained that they were never billed for those violations.
