Fairview firefighters made quick work last night of a fire at a Marist College Townhouse.
At about 7:40pm Fairview units responded to 35 West Cedar Street and found smoke and an active fire in Townhouse T. City of Poughkeepsie firefighters arrived shortly after to help with the firefighting efforts. The fire was declared out at 8:00 pm; less than 20 minutes after the initial alarm. There were no injuries and the fire was determined to be accidental.
