(New York, NY) -- Major retailers like Toys-R-Us, JC Penny and Kohl's are still looking for temporary help, even though the holiday hiring season began a month ago.
Peter Harrison is the CEO of Snag-a-job, an agency that matches hourly workers with employers who need them. He says market conditions are positive for many seasonal workers this year, even calling the holiday hiring period a "three-month job interview" for more permanent positions. Harrison says seasonal workers shouldn't be surprised to receive additional opportunities if they perform well, and increased competition for workers is leading to additional benefits.
