(Newburgh, NY) -- An Orange County man and woman are facing charges in a Newburgh police chase that ended with an officer hurt.
Police spotted two cars fleeing the scene of a fight involving a gun early this morning along Wisner Avenue and a chase ensued. They were able to pull over driver Heather Aleman who was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation. The other driver, Lamont McDonald, allegedly ditched the car and ran off. The Newburgh man was eventually chased down by cops and an officer was hurt. McDonald has been charged with assault of a police officer.
