One driver was killed and another injured in a head-on crash on Route 22 in Dutchess County.
According to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, 53 year old Brian Sherow of Hyde Park was driving his pickup truck southbound on the highway when he crossed over into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a pickup truck operated by 49 year old Eftichia Amouris of Hillsdale.
Sherow was transported to Sharon Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Amouris was first sent to Sharon Hospital and then transferred to Vassar Brothers Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
