(Newtown, CT) -- A Dutchess County man is dead after being struck by a car after exiting his vehicle on an Interstate 84 ramp.
Police say Gerard Mauskapf of Red Hook pulled his car over on the exit eleven ramp Tuesday morning. He stepped from the vehicle and was struck by a car driven by an 18-year-old driver. Mauskapf was pronounced dead at the scene.
