(Queens, NY) -- New York is the first state in the country to make state college tuition free for middle class families.
Yesterday Governor Cuomo signed the legislation activating the Excelsior Scholarship program for next year. The program will allow students from families that make 125-thousand-dollars or less to qualify for a tuition free SUNY education. He was joined by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at LaGuardia Community College for the historic signing.
