Purple Lights Celebrate State Police Centennial

The Mid-Hudson Bridge was illuminated in purple lights last night in honor of the New York State Police Centennial.

Troopers from Troop K on the east side of the Hudson River and Troop F on the west side of the river gathered at Waryas Park in Poughkeepsie for a group photo in front of the bridge.

From the press release: “Major Robert M. Nuzzo and Major Joseph A. Tripodo are extremely proud of our history of professional service to the Hudson Valley and will continue to carry on the tradition the original 232 Troopers started in 1917.”
