(New Brunswick, NJ) -- Snooki is inspiring a bill that would limit speaking fees at New Jersey state universities.
Many lawmakers were outraged to learn that the "Jersey Shore" reality TV star and former Ulster County resident, was paid 32-thousand dollars to speak at Rutgers' commencement ceremony in 2011. Republican Assemblyman John DiMaio is calling the payment "ludicrous and wasteful." His bill would cap speaking fees at ten-grand.
